Rain Stops Play
Hello - sorry for the long hiatus but, well, here we are again, this time with some photographs from the studio today. We were due to go on a photowalk along the Wandle to the Thames but, summer being summer, it has been chucking it down all day so, after a bit of a kerfuffle, we gathered together at RHACC in the photography studio and you can see some of my results here. On the left, top to bottom, are Stephen, Ria (our inspirational tutor), and Tom; on the right, top to bottom, are David, Fahema and, again, Ria.
I wasn't so interested in the morning session - I'm not very good at, or particularly interested in, still life or macro photography I've decided - but the afternoon, especially shooting against a white background, was great fun and quite inspiring and the picture top right is my homage to Bailey and to Avedon (thanks David). The photos on the left were mostly taken in the morning when I should have been making my macro / still life photographs...
One more session next week then the year is over - it has been great fun and I will be sad not to be going over the rest of the summer but I hope, with a bit of luck, to carry on attending next academic year - watch this space.
